How can we make the most out of our everyday encounters with others?
The average number of people we interact with daily is just over twenty, according to Researchgate.com. That’s 7,300 opportunities per year to lift someone up.
Instead of considering these everyday encounters as mundane, we can view them as important and be intentional about our interactions. The exchange with the cashier, your coworker, and even the person you live with at home are opportunities to be kind and spread joy.
God calls us to encourage and care about each other. Everyone needs to be appreciated. Next time I go to the grocery store, I will be quick to smile, let someone in a hurry cut the line, and thank the person who bags my groceries. Please share how you spread kindness.
Let’s follow Proverbs 15:30 and remember, “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart.”
