Sometimes I think I am getting it right when I stay quiet rather than speaking my mind. It’s easier to keep my mouth closed than it is to stop thinking critical thoughts. Actions are powerful but so are thoughts.
What if instead of silently criticizing, I decided to silently honor? Instead of thinking about how a person is wrong, I thought about all the ways they are right. What if I delighted in their uniqueness and original perspective? Instead of insisting on my way.
Today I will follow the wise words of Romans 12:10 and “delight in honoring others,” not just in actions but in thought.
