When We Lift Our Eyes

Something shifts when we lift our eyes.
We were not made to live in a small circle of concern—absorbed by our own worries, ambitions, and disappointments. Life narrows there.
But when we look beyond ourselves, life begins to widen.
Toward beauty.
Toward purpose.
Toward those around us and what they carry.
Toward God, who is greater than all of it.
This is more than wisdom for difficult seasons. It is a better way to live.
To notice more.
To love more.
To carry less self-importance.
To help lighten the load someone else is carrying.
We often think a fuller life comes from gaining more. Yet often it comes from seeing more, giving more, and living for something larger than ourselves.
“The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you will have.”
— Norman Vincent Peale
May today bring fresh perspective, lighter burdens, and renewed strength.
With love,
